A Luxury Orlando Resort You Haven't Heard Enough About: The Conrad at Evermore
When most people think of Orlando, they think theme parks. And honestly, that makes sense — Orlando has built its reputation on big experiences and even bigger crowds. But just minutes away is a resort experience that feels like a completely different world — and after spending two nights there, I can tell you firsthand that the Conrad at Evermore deserves to be on every family's radar.
I'll be honest — I had visited Evermore once before when it first opened in the summer of 2024, so I already knew the property was something special. But staying at the Conrad as a guest — and getting an official site visit as part of my Fora advisor training — gave me a whole new level of appreciation for what this place has to offer. I saw things most guests never get to see, and I'm here to share all of it.
First Impressions
From the moment you arrive, the Conrad makes it clear that this is not your average Orlando hotel. The architecture is striking — clean lines, floor-to-ceiling glass, lush tropical landscaping that feels intentional rather than just decorative. Even the small details tell you that someone thought deeply about every inch of this place. The elegant room doors, the way the corridors are lit, and even the floor tiles — some of which feature subtle ripple patterns that mimic the movement of waves. It's the kind of detail most guests walk right over without noticing, but once you see it you can't unsee it. That level of intentionality runs through the entire property.
And then there's the skylight. Looking up through the atrium as you move through the hotel is one of those unexpected moments that stops you mid-step. It's genuinely beautiful.
The Rooms
I stayed in a King room with a balcony overlooking the lagoon — and waking up to that view is something I won't forget anytime soon. The rooms are designed with a coastal calm aesthetic — watercolor murals, soft blues, warm wood tones, and the kind of bedding that makes you want to stay in all morning.
But what really caught my attention during the site visit were the family suites. They feature built-in bunk beds that are honestly some of the most beautiful bunk beds I've ever seen — designed right into the room so they feel like a feature rather than an afterthought. Kids are going to absolutely love them.
And yes — every balcony has one of those iconic orange bunny chairs. It's become a signature detail of the Conrad, and you'll spot them on every floor as you look across the building. Quirky, fun, and surprisingly charming
The Lagoon
This is the heart of Evermore — and it is stunning. The crystalline lagoon stretches out in front of the Conrad like something you'd expect to find in the Caribbean, not central Florida. Hotel guests have full access to the lagoon, which includes a water slide, cliff jumps, a rope swing, kayaks, and paddleboards.
Standing on my balcony watching the sun rise over that water every morning was one of those simple travel moments that just stays with you. This is exactly the kind of thing I mean when I talk about creating memories — not just checking into a room, but waking up to something that takes your breath away.
The Sand Sculpture
One of the most unexpected and delightful features of the Conrad is the massive sand sculpture that sits right at the edge of the lagoon. It changes with the seasons and is truly a work of art — intricate, larger than life, and completely unique. Kids and adults alike stop to admire it.
The Details That Make It Special
This is where the Conrad truly separates itself. It's not just a beautiful building — it's a property that has thought carefully about the experience of every single guest, at every age.
The lobby features a stunning floor-to-ceiling heron mural that serves as a backdrop for one of the most inviting seating areas I've ever seen in a hotel. Nearby, a colorful circular art installation climbs an entire wall — the kind of thing you stop and photograph because you can't quite believe it's real.
And then there's the Arrival/Departure Lounge — a feature I hadn't encountered before and immediately fell in love with. It's a dedicated space where guests can freshen up, relax, and store their belongings either before their room is ready or after checkout while they continue enjoying the property. For families traveling with kids, this is a game changer. No more killing time in the lobby or rushing checkout because you need somewhere to be.
For Families Specifically
As a mom of four and a travel advisor who specializes in family travel, this is the section I want you to pay close attention to.
The Conrad at Evermore is genuinely one of the most family-thoughtful luxury properties I've encountered. Beyond the bunk bed suites and lagoon access, the property has a Kids Club with two resident baby alligators — yes, real ones — that kids can observe up close. It's the kind of unexpected detail that turns a great trip into an unforgettable one.
There's also Sunny's Library — a Little Free Library right on the property stocked with children's books. Borrow one, read it, return it before you leave. It's a small touch, but it speaks volumes about how this property thinks about its youngest guests.
And the staff. I cannot say enough about the warmth and attentiveness of everyone we encountered. During our site visit we heard a story that perfectly captures the Conrad's approach to hospitality — a family staying at the property had an Elf on the Shelf with them, and every single day while they were out exploring, the staff would find the elf and move it to a new spot for the kids to discover when they returned. Nobody asked them to do that. They just did it because they genuinely care about creating magical moments for every guest.
That's the kind of place the Conrad is.
Dining at Ceiba
On my first evening I had dinner at Ceiba, the Conrad's signature restaurant. The atmosphere is warm and sophisticated — a beautiful bar with floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sunset, and a menu that takes Latin American cuisine seriously.
I ordered the enchiladas and a cocktail, and both were genuinely excellent. The presentation alone was worth photographing — and I did.
What Else Is at Evermore?
The Conrad is just one piece of the larger Evermore resort community. The property also includes Evermore Residences — a collection of houses, flats, and villas — giving families the option to choose the style of accommodation that works best for them. Whether you want the full-service luxury hotel experience at the Conrad or the space and flexibility of a private residence, Evermore has an option for you.
The Bottom Line
The Conrad at Evermore is one of those rare properties that delivers on every level — stunning design, exceptional service, world-class amenities, and a genuine thoughtfulness about the family experience that is hard to find at this price point.
If you're planning a Florida trip and looking for something beyond the ordinary, this is it. And if you're already planning a Disney or Universal visit, the Conrad is close enough to make a perfect home base while feeling like a completely different world.
