Behind the Scenes: What a Fora Travel Advisor Training Actually Looks Like

If you've ever wondered what travel advisors actually do to stay up-to-date on industry standards and serve their clients better — this one's for you.

Last week I headed to Orlando for Momentum, one of Fora's advisor training events held throughout the year. This one took place at the stunning Conrad at Evermore. Two days, hundreds of fellow advisors, and tons of notes.

To be honest — I wasn't exactly sure what to expect walking in. What I found was something that genuinely shifted how I think about my business.

Most of the training focused on Fora's back office systems and best practices — how to ask the right questions, how to listen for what clients actually need rather than just what they say they want, and how to make sure every trip I plan delivers something truly exceptional. The kind of trip that creates memories your family will talk about for years.

One of my favorite parts of the whole experience was the panel of industry partners who came to speak with us. We heard from representatives at the Conrad Orlando, Beaches & Sandals, Holland America Cruise Lines, and Exeter Safaris — covering everything from luxury resorts to world-class cruising to African safari experiences. Getting that kind of direct access and insight from the people behind these brands is something most travelers never get — but it's exactly what helps me plan better trips for my clients.

Throughout the training I was seated at a table with five other newer advisors, and honestly that ended up being one of the highlights. We kind of gravitated toward each other naturally — swapping tips, sharing things we'd figured out along the way, and helping each other through the parts we were still learning. There's something really special about being in a room full of people who are all building something they love.

Coming home I felt re-energized and more confident than ever in what I'm building with Everbound Journeys. Every training, every conversation, every late night researching destinations — it all goes back to one thing: making sure that when you travel with me, you don't have to think about a single detail. You just get to show up and experience it.

That's what I'm here for.

If you're ready to start planning your next trip, I'd love to help. Reach out anytime — let's make something unforgettable.
