From Passion to Partnership: How I Became a Fora Travel Advisor
After deciding to turn something I loved into something real, I knew one thing — I didn't want to do it halfway.
If I was going to help people plan meaningful travel experiences, I wanted the right support behind me. So I started researching, and what I quickly discovered is that becoming a travel advisor isn't one-size-fits-all.
One company required a significant upfront investment, almost like buying into a franchise. Another wasn't accepting new advisors at all. A third required extensive training before even being considered — and acceptance still wasn't guaranteed. I got it — professionalism matters — but I also wanted something that felt realistic for where I was starting.
Then I found Fora, and it just clicked.
There was a small subscription fee, but it was comparable to what other companies charged just for training — except this wasn't only training. It was access to a full platform where I could learn and actually build at the same time. Hundreds of courses, a real advisor community, local chapters, live weekly seminars, and technology to manage bookings and payments. And whenever something comes up, help is always there.
The commission structure made sense for building something sustainable long-term too — which mattered to me.
Since joining, I've learned so much — from booking hotels and cruises to exploring destinations like Japan and France. But honestly, what's made the biggest difference is knowing I'm not doing this alone. There's a whole community of advisors asking the same questions, sharing insights, and growing together.
At the end of the day, Everbound Journeys is still very much me — my attention to detail, my love for planning, my focus on creating experiences that actually mean something. But having the right partnership behind me means I can bring even more to the table for the families trusting me with their travel.
Starting this was about following something I already loved. Choosing the right path was about making sure I could do it well.
